Snow Money
(2022)
IT ALL STARTED WITH A THESIS PROJECT…
Mid-Pandemic 2020, I started a film to complete my master’s in journalism at Boston University. I wanted to document the impacts of climate change in a new way: an emotional film with cinematic flair that told a story that'd never been told before.
Thus, "Snow Money" was born. Free of doom, gloom, and statistics, Snow Money is an intimate narrative short documentary film about Joe, a 31-year-old father, carpenter, and plower who lives and works in Greater Boston.
Seeking to establish his independence and provide for his family, Joe wants to save enough money to buy his first home. Intimate and authentic, this narrative short documents the impacts of more severe, unpredictable, and wetter winter weather on Joe and his journey.
